I can comfortably stay on either my side or back. I like that it has different heights on each side so it accommodates varies sleeping styles. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the artificial smell when I first got it out, took a few days to air out. I haven't had any issues with flatness, shape changes or it being too hot.
